Getting started with KIC

Before you get started…

Be sure to always consult with your doctor before commencing any new health, fitness or nutrition program. While we’re always here to provide general help and support, this should not be used in place of professional advice.

What is KIC, and how do I get started?

What began as a humble e-book, through to an app based in movement, KIC has grown into something much deeper. Our new KICApp brings together movement, mindset and rituals in one empowering experience, helping women build confidence, find calm and move through life with purpose.

Your intention-based wellness rituals begin with KIC. We move together with you through life, supporting you from your morning flow through to your evening wind down. To us, wellness stands for a feeling not an aesthetic. Strong minds are the foundations for strong bodies and this strength starts with ourselves. Together, we nurture you and our community through active movement and mindset practices that allow us to show up for ourselves and each other. 

Brand new to KIC? Welcome. You can get started with KIC with a 7-day free trial. Been with KIC before and want to come back? Login in with your past account details and follow the prompts to purchase your subscription.

Once you’ve signed up, simply download KIC from the App Store or Google Play Store, login on your device.

How can I change my content preferences?

To change your content preferences for what’s on your ‘Today’ page, head to your profile > select ‘content preferences > open your focus area you’d like to change and select new preferences. You can go back and change these at any time. 

How can I schedule activities into my planner?

Planning out your weekly workout schedule? When you’ve found an activity you like the look of, simply press the ‘schedule’ button at the bottom of the activity overview page. Select the date you’d like to schedule this for and press that schedule button. When you open your KIC app, you'll see this class waiting for you on the planned day.

Where can I use the KICApp?

KIC can be taken with you anywhere. Whether you’re at home with minimal equipment, in the gym or on a holiday, you can find a workout that’s right for you. 

Check out the classes through the Explore page and filter by the equipment you have available to see workouts that suit your needs.

What does my KIC subscription include?

Absolutely everything in the app. You can access 1000+ workouts, 1000+ recipes, 100+ mindfulness classes, our programs including KICRun, KICBump, Hybrid, Lift and more. All within your standard subscription cost.

Can I play workouts from KIC on my TV?

All of our Kic classes can be streamed to your TV through Airplay or Chrome Cast. Please note, this is dependent on your TV and device settings. When playing your class, select the cast button and select the device you want to cast to.

Subscriptions & payments

How much is a KIC membership?

Never used Kic before? Sign up to Kic today with a 7-day free trial. We have monthly, quarterly and yearly payment options. You can see our price here.

What are my payment options?

KIC is available as a monthly, quarterly or yearly subscription. You’re able to change your subscription at any point to upgrade for better value.

To make this as seamless as possible, we use a payment system called Stripe, a leading company in secure online payments. Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. If you’ve signed up through your app, you can also choose to set your billing through Apple Subscriptions or Google Pay. In this instance, your bank statement will show your subscription charges are through Apple Billing or Google Pay rather than ‘KIC App’.

If I join KIC during a sale, will I be able to access a free trial?

If you’ve joined KIC while we’re on sale, you'll be getting the best value offer available.

Your KIC subscription will be charged at the start of your subscription period. Once you’ve signed up for KIC and selected which subscription type you’d like, you will be billed for that amount. Our 7-day free trial isn’t available with our sale offers. 

All subscriptions are charged via direct debit and will automatically renew at standard pricing at the end of your subscription period, unless you cancel. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

How do my payments work?

It depends on which subscription option you go for! Whichever option you choose, you will be charged at the start of each subscription period. For example: if you sign up to our monthly subscription you will be charged the monthly rate at the start of every month. Please do remember Kic is a subscription based service, which means it will continue to roll over, unless you cancel.

I thought I had a 7-day free trial - why was I charged?

Our 7-day free trials are available to new members only. If you’ve had a subscription before, your payment will be taken at the beginning of your payment cycle.

Why have I had multiple charges to my account?

It sounds like you may have accidentally registered for more than one KIC account with either different emails or with multiple different subscription platforms (through website, Apple or Google Play). We totally understand that mistakes may happen – please know that we would never charge your account without you having signed up for an active subscription first.

If this is the case for you, please contact our friendly team at hello@kicwellness.com. Please include information about the duplicate payments and all known email addresses to you so we can sort this out as swiftly as possible.

How do I cancel my subscription?

We’ll be sad to see you go, but we understand that KIC might not be for you at this time.

Simply open your KIC app > head to your profile page > select ‘account’ > open subscription details and then choose ‘cancel subscription’.We’ll ask you a few questions about why you want to cancel as we are always open to hearing our community’s feedback! Then once you’ve completed this, you’ll be redirected to the relevant subscription management page to then cancel.

How do I change or update my subscription?

Loving KIC and want to stay for longer? Head to your profile page > select ‘account’ > open subscription details and then choose to update your subscription.

If you are upgrading your account, the price of your new subscription will be prorated, taking into account what you have already paid for your current subscription. The price will be based on how far into your current subscription you currently are.

Will my personal information be kept private?

Absolutely. Our privacy policies are available for you to access at any time. We’ve popped them here for your convenience. 

I forgot to cancel in time, can I have a refund?

Your membership needs to be cancelled up to 24 hours before your next payment date. Unfortunately, if you forget to cancel in time we are unable to offer you a refund. 

If you’re thinking about cancelling your account, we recommend that you do so sooner rather than later, to avoid the chance of you forgetting to do cancel in time. You can always reactivate if you change your mind – we know you’ll love to come back.

KIC Bundles

What is a KIC bundle?

A KIC bundle includes a physical product plus access to the KICApp subscription.
After you purchase a bundle, you’ll receive a bundle code by email to activate your app subscription.

How do I activate my KICApp subscription?

After purchasing your bundle:

  • Check your email for your bundle code
  • Click the Redeem your bundle link
  • Enter your code on the KIC website
  • Once redeemed, you’ll receive a confirmation email
  • Download the KIC App and sign in with the same email — no paywall, you’re all set
When will my app subscription start?

It depends on whether you’re new or already subscribed to KIC.

If you’re new to KIC:
Your app subscription starts immediately once you redeem your bundle code.

If you’re already a KIC subscriber:
Your bundle subscription will start after your current billing period ends.

I’m already a KIC subscriber — do I need to do anything?

Yes — if your current subscription is set to auto-renew, you’ll need to cancel it to avoid being charged again.

  • Cancel your existing subscription through the platform you originally signed up with (Apple App Store, Google Play, or web)
  • Your current access will continue until the end of your billing period
  • Your bundle subscription will automatically begin after that
Why do I need to cancel my existing subscription?

Bundle subscriptions are activated using a one-off code, not through the App Store or Google Play. Because of this, app stores can’t automatically replace or pause an existing auto-renewing subscription — cancelling ensures you’re only charged once.

Will I lose access if I cancel my current subscription?

No. You’ll keep full access to the KICApp until the end of your current billing period, and your bundle subscription will start seamlessly after that.

Where do I cancel my existing subscription?
  • Apple App Store: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
  • Google Play: Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions
  • Web subscription: Account settings on the KIC website
What happens after I redeem my bundle code?

Once redeemed:

  • You’ll receive a success email
  • Your app access will be activated (or scheduled to start if you’re an existing subscriber)
  • You can download the KICApp and sign in without seeing a paywall
Can I redeem my bundle code later?

Yes. You can redeem your code whenever you’re ready — just keep your email with the bundle code handy.

Tech support

How do I join the Facebook Community?

Our group is exclusive to paying subscribers, and we can’t wait to have you in there. If things are moving slowly, it might be because your Facebook name isn’t the same as the name you used to sign up to KIC, or because your Facebook email and Kic email are different. If that’s the case, please reach out to us at hello@kicwellness.com.

I’m having trouble signing in - what should I do?

Not to worry, we can easily help sort this one. Here’s our checklist to see what’s happening for you: 

  1. Please double check that you’ve entered the correct email and password that you used to sign up for KIC.
  2. When signing up, did you opt to sign in through an option that wasn’t email? Eg. through Apple ID or Google log in? Make sure to choose this option when logging in if that’s how you signed up. 
  3. When signing up, did you ask Apple to ‘hide your email’? If so, you may be registered under an encoded email. You can find this in your Apple settings but if you’re struggling to find this, please email us at hello@kicwellness.com

Still struggling to log in? Please screenshot any particular error messages that are showing and send this to us in an email.

I’m having trouble with the app - how can I fix it?

We’re so sorry to hear this and would love to help. First thing’s first, please update your app to the latest version available. Then, please try deleting and reinstalling your app onto your device. Force quitting your app can also be a handy fix.

Help, I’ve forgotten my password.

We’ve all been there, don't worry. When on the login page, please select the ‘Forgot password’ link and we’ll send you an email to reset this one. Make sure to check your spam inbox.

How do I change my email address?

Please log in to KIC on our website (not the app) and head to your profile page on the top right corner. Then, under the profile tab, scroll to account details and enter a new email. Make sure to then scroll down and select ‘update profile’ once you’re done.

Can I access KIC content offline?

You can download all of our KIC classes for offline use. At this time, our run and gym programs require stable internet access.

I want to sign up but it's saying my email address is already registered.

This will be because you already have an old account registered with that email. Simply login instead. If you’ve forgotten your email address or have accidentally entered the wrong one, email us at hello@kicwellness.com.

I signed up for KIC, but it's saying I haven't paid!

Sounds like there’s some confusion going on here – let us help! 

If you signed up for KIC via Apple, when the paywall pops up, please select ‘restore purchases’.

Nutrition

How do the meals work?

All of the food we recommend under KIC has been approved by our in-house accredited team of experts and dieticians. 

What are the calories in each dish?

We don’t count calories here at KIC. We believe in focusing on fuelling your body with healthy, nutrient-rich foods. We don’t look at food as good or bad, we’re all about tuning into your hunger cues and giving your body what it needs. Each KIC recipe has received the tick of approval from our dietitian, Liv Morrison.

Can you help with recipe conversions?

We use grams and ml in our recipes but we know some people prefer to use cups. To make things easier for you, here are some common ingredient conversions:

Liquids:
1 cup = 250ml
1/2 cup = 125ml
1 tbsp = 20ml
1 tsp = 5ml

Solids:
Almond Meal, 1 cup = 120g
Almonds, 1 cup = 140g
Dates, 1 cup = 155g
Desiccated Coconut, 1 cup = 85g
Flour, 1 cup = 140g
Oats, 1 cup = 105g
Peanut Butter, 1tbsp = 20g
Quinoa, 1 cup = 190g
Rice (uncooked), 1 cup = 210g

KIC Products

When will my order be processed?

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days after purchase (not including public holidays). Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing your tracking information.

Please allow 24-48 hours for the tracking details to update. If you have not received this email, kindly check your spam/trash folders, or email us at hello@kicwellness.com for further support.

Should inaccurate or incomplete address information be provided, it may delay processing time by 1-2 business days. All customers are encouraged to thoroughly review their shipping and billing information prior to checking out to ensure any possible delays are avoided.

Can I change my order once it's been placed?

If you wish to change your order, please contact hello@kicwellness.com as soon as possible (i.e. within a 12-hour period). As orders begin processing quickly, it is not guaranteed that we will be able to adjust your order, however, we will do our best.

Which shipping service do you use?

We ship using Australia Post.

Where do you ship to?

Currently, we only ship within Australia.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

Orders within Australia typically take 3–7 business days to arrive. Please note that shipping times are estimates and may vary depending on factors such as your location, carrier delays, public holidays, and any unforeseen circumstances.

To track the progress of your order and receive real-time updates on its delivery status, you can use the tracking information provided in your order confirmation email.

Do you ship to other countries?

Currently, we only ship within Australia. We’re sorry for any inconvenience and hope to expand to other countries in the future!

Do you offer express shipping?

Not at this stage. All orders are processed and shipped via our standard delivery options.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs depend on the weight of your order and your location. You can check your shipping cost by proceeding through the checkout process. Shipping will be calculated based on the location your order is being sent to, but will be capped at $15.

My order hasn’t arrived – what should I do?

Once your order has been shipped, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information from Australia Post. You can use this to follow your order and get real-time updates on its progress.

My package was lost/stolen — what do I do?

KIC is not responsible for any packages that are lost or stolen in transit. If you believe your package is missing or has been misdelivered, please contact Australia Post directly. For additional support, please reach out to our team at hello@kicwellness.com.

Can I return my item/s and/or get a refund?

We want you to love your KIC product/s. However, due to the nature of our products, we’re only able to offer a refund or exchange for products that arrive faulty, damaged or incorrect.

Please note that we do not offer refunds or returns for change of mind, so we kindly ask that you choose carefully before completing your purchase.

If your item is faulty, damaged, or you received the wrong product, please contact our team at hello@kicwellness.com and we’ll be happy to help.

I received a faulty, damaged or incorrect item — what do I do?

If you’ve received an item that is faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact our customer care team at hello@kicwellness.com within 7 days of receiving your order. Please include your order confirmation number in the subject line, along with a brief description and photos of the item.

We will review your case and provide instructions for a replacement if eligible.

Please note:

  • Items must be returned in their original condition.
  • No refund can be issued for products that have been used.
  • Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.

KIC programs

Can I use KIC without equipment?

If you currently don’t have access to equipment you can start with the equipment free four-week program. We also have a range of classes available that you can filter to what equipment you do and don't have at home.

Our programs are designed using dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, resistance bands, box, treadmills, ski ergs and a skipping rope. Depending on your program, this will change what equipment you need.

How do I pause or change my program?

Head to your profile page in the app and open the ‘program’ tab. Then from your active programs, open the one you’d like to change. Press the top three dots to pause or restart. Select the ‘overview’ tab to change your scheduled days and reminder preferences. 

If I end a program does it cancel my KIC subscription?

Programs are not linked to your your subscription. If you pause, or end a KIC program your subscription with us will not change.

What happens if I miss a program workout?

If you miss a workout it will remain in your planner until you have completed it. KIC always moves along with you, on your terms.

KICBump

How is KICBump different from other fitness programs?

KICBump is a pre and postnatal Pilates program developed and guided by our qualified Pilates instructors, Christina Traychevska and Mari Yammas. Created especially for new and expectant mums, you can feel safe and comfortable knowing that each and every movement has been designed with the safety of you and your baby as the number one priority, and reviewed and approved by our expert Physiotherapist, Ashleigh Mason.

You can access the KICBump programs under the Perinatal section in Explore. For prenatal this is a 6 week program where you can select to workout either 3, 4 or 5 days a week. Workouts will automatically be scheduled in your planner. 

Our postnatal Pilates is a 10-week program, our sessions are developed to be completed in order from session one to ten. Our experts recommend completing each session three-four times before moving onto the next. No matter where you are on your postpartum journey we recommended beginning from session one.

KICBump focuses on your body and your mind. Our meditation expert, Meg James has created a range of grounding meditations to help you remain calm and connect to your baby.

Together with Ashleigh Mason, we’ve also created a series of educational videos to help answer the common questions regarding pregnancy health and exercise.

We also have KICBump Bridge, to bridge the gap between postnatal exercise back into regular training. 

Do I have to pay extra to access KICBump?

Our KICBump pre and postnatal Pilates program has been added to the KICApp for all members to access. 

Who is KICBump for?

Our prenatal Pilates program is designed for all expectant mothers, no matter where you are in your pregnancy journey. Whether you’ve just found out that you’re pregnant or further along, as long as you’ve had clearance from your healthcare professional our program is for you. It doesn’t matter if you’ve just stepped foot on a mat for the first time or you’re a Pilates pro, KICBump is an inclusive program for all levels of experience.

Our postnatal program is developed to guide new mothers to return to exercise safely and minimise injuries. Whether you’ve just had your six week check up with clearance to exercise, or your bub is ten months old, KICBump is here when you’re ready.

Where do I find KICBump on the app?

You can find the KICBump via the ‘explore’ page in app. 

I'm pregnant - When should I start using KICBump?

Firstly, congratulations! KICBump is designed for all stages and phases of pregnancy, so you can start using our program as soon as you feel comfortable – as long as you have clearance from your healthcare professional.

I've never done Pilates before, is it safe for me to start KICBump?

Every pregnancy is different, so before you start we recommend that you check with a healthcare professional to make sure that our KICBump program is right for you and your baby.

Once you have the tick of approval, it doesn’t matter whether you’ve just stepped foot on a mat for the first time or you’re a Pilates pro, KICBump is an inclusive program for all levels of experience.

Should I only use the KICBump program now that I'm pregnant?

Our KICBump programs have been approved by our expert physiotherapist, Ashleigh Mason. So, every movement and meditation has been designed with the safety of you and your baby as the number one priority.

In saying that, you are more than welcome to continue to use the KIC program so long as you have clearance from your healthcare professional.

Can I run during my pregnancy?

If your body is used to running it is safe to continue, so long as you feel comfortable. You may just need to adjust your routine to accommodate changes and tolerance, and monitor intensity appropriately.

However, if your body wasn’t accustomed to running before your pregnancy, now is not the advisable time to start.

I'm in my third trimester, when should I stop prenatal Pilates?

Our prenatal Pilates classes are safe for you to complete right up until your due date – as long as a healthcare professional has given you clearance to exercise. A lot of mums-to-be find that moving your body can be really good for relaxation, sleep and general wellbeing during the third trimester.

I've just had my baby, when should I start postnatal exercises?

Firstly, congratulations on your new journey. There’s absolutely no pressure to rush back into exercise. Your body has just brought a little human into the world. The first six weeks is really all about recovery, and taking time to adapt to all of the change that’s happening around you and in your body. It’s also important to remember that the hormones that caused increased laxity and flexibility during your pregnancy are still present during this time and for as long as you are breastfeeding. We recommend waiting until your six week postpartum check up, and if possible, seeing a Women’s Health Physiotherapist for a pelvic floor and core check and clearance to return to exercise prior to commencing the postnatal KICBump program.

KICBUMP postnatal Pilates is a 10-week program, our sessions are developed to be completed in order from session one to ten. Our experts recommend completing each session three-four times before moving onto the next. No matter where you are on your postpartum journey we recommended beginning from session one.

I've noticed dizziness, chest pain or other symptoms during my workouts.

If you’re experiencing any uncomfort during exercise it is so important to listen to your body and take a break. Royal Australian New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (RANZCOG) recommends that you cease exercise and talk to your healthcare professional if you’re experiencing any of the below symptoms:

  • Chest pain
  • Unexplained shortness of breath
  • Dizziness
  • Feeling faint or headache
  • Muscle weakness
  • Calf pain, swelling or redness
  • Sudden swelling of the ankles, hands or face
  • Vaginal bleeding or amniotic fluid loss
  • Decreased foetal movement
  • Uterine contractions or pain in the lower back, pelvic area, or abdomen (potentially indicating pre-term labour)

KICRun

Who is KICRun for?

KICRun is for anyone wanting to start their running journey or take it to the next level. 

There are 5 distance based programs to get you all the way from 3km up to 42km! Each program is 8 weeks with 2-4 runs per week. Each program includes motivational audio from Laura and is developed by expert Physiotherapists at Upwell Health Collective.

We also have additional run programs designed for your running goals that aren't based on distance. From maintaining 10km, to improving your pace, and mixing it up with strength, you'll find programs available to meet your own personal goals.

Do I have to pay extra to access KICRun?

You sure don’t. KICRun is available for all KIC members to access with an active subscription.

What distances are available in KICRun?

We have five distance-based programs to choose from: 

  • 0-3km 
  • 0-5km
  • 5-10km
  • 10-21km
  • 21-42km
Is the program available through the Apple Watch or Garmin?

Not at this time but it's on our roadmap for our next set of feature updates. To join the program you will need to use your Apple or Android phone to track your runs.

Can I do KICRun on a treadmill?

All of our KICRun program activities or guided runs can be completed in 'treadmill mode'. When starting your run activities select 'start treadmill run'. You can skip through intervals and change your speed in the app so your running cadence is tracked accurately.

Can I listen to music during the run?

Most definitely. Music helps keep you going and motivated on your run, so rest assured you can pair all your favourite playlists with your KICRun activities.
Simply hit play on your playlist and then open your KICApp and start your run. You can control your music whilst your run and Laura's audio cues will fade in and out, so you'll know exactly how you need to run. You can also mute Laura's guidance if needed - sometimes you'll be in the zone, we get it.

Where do I track a walk, run or ride?

The track section of the KICApp is where you can track an ad-hoc run, walk or bike ride. Please make sure you have GPS and location services enabled to use this feature. 

How to enable location services to be able to track your run.

For an iOS device: 
Head into your KICApp Settings page. Then, scroll down to the ‘permissions’ section. You’ll need to ensure that ‘Location access’ is ticked. 

Once ticked, head to your device’s settings and find the KICApp in there. Once here, ensure that the ‘Location’ is set to ‘While Using’ and that you have your ‘Precise Location’ on. 

For an Android device:
Head into the KICApp Settings page. Then, scroll down to the ‘permissions’ section. You’ll need to ensure that ‘Location access’ is ticked. 

Once ticked, head to your device’s settings for your KICApp (you may find this under settings > app management > KIC). Then ensure that permissions are set to ‘allow all the time’.
