Frequently asked questions

What should I wear?

Somatic movement is very free flowing therefore wear comfortable exercise attire such as shorts, leggings and a light top. Classes are performed in bare feet, no runners required.

What should I bring?

A water bottle and sweat towel (essential for heated classes). Towel rental service is available at reception, bath towels $4 and smaller sweat towels $3 each.

What’s the class cancellation window?

Our cancellation window is 6 hours. The below fees apply:

  • If you cancel a class within 6 hours of its start time, you will be charged a Late Cancel fee of $10.00
  • If you No Show to a class, you will be charged a $15.00 fee.

Fees are processed daily via our booking system, please contact us if you have any queries regarding a fee.

What temperature are your infrared heated classes?

Our Studio temperature rises to 25 degrees for our infrared heated classes. A towel is essential for heated classes. Heated classes are not pregnancy-safe.

Do you have showers?

Yes, KICStudio offers 2 showers at our Cremorne location. We also provide a towel hire service at reception as well as bathroom amenities such as shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

I’m pregnant, can I still attend?

Yes! We truly believe every body is different therefore please consult your health care provider and obtain clearance to attend our classes. Notify the instructor prior to every class you attend if you’re pregnant so they can offer safe alternatives to some exercises. Use your intuition and do not continue if you feel unwell, in pain or uncomfortable at any stage throughout class. Our heated classes are not pregnancy safe.

Can I put my membership on hold?

Absolutely, we’re very accommodating of holidays, illness or needing a pause. All suspension requests need to be in writing to via email to cremorne@kicstudio.com

Please note, your complimentary KICApp access will remain active during this time, so you can continue to move, nourish and reset whenever it suits you.

How do I cancel my membership?

Our memberships have a minimum commitment of either 3 or 6 months, depending on the option you’ve selected. After this period, memberships can be cancelled with 14 days’ written notice.
If you need to cancel, email cremorne@kicstudio.com and our team will guide you through the process.

What’s the minimum age to attend classes?

Children 14 years and over are welcome to participate in our classes with parent or guardian consent. Unfortunately children of any age are not permitted to wait at the studio whilst a parent or guardian participates in a class.

How can I redeem the opening offer?

Our opening offer is available for all new visitors. You can access unlimited classes for 14 days for $59. Only one redemption per person. You can redeem this offer via our membership page or the MindBody app.

How do I claim my foundational membership benefits?

Your Foundational Membership journal and keyring will be waiting for you at our Cremorne front reception.

Do you offer a towel hire service?

Yes, KICStudio offers a towel rental service is available at reception, bath towels $4 and smaller sweat towels $3 each.

What is our cancellation policy?

What is our refund policy?

All payments made are non-refundable.

Can I pay for a membership or class pack using cash?

KICStudio only accepts payments via MindBody and does not accept cash sales for any of our class packs or membership types.

Your KICApp and KICStudio membership:

When does my KICApp access begin with a KICStudio membership?

If you purchased your KICStudio membership before April 18 (Cremorne Studio opening day), your KICApp access will begin on April 18. Your KICApp access will be tied to your Mindbody account email. This applies to:

  • Foundational Memberships (March – April 2)
  • Pre-sale Standard Memberships (April 2 – April 17)

If you purchase a membership on or after April 18, your KICApp access will be activated immediately after purchase. Instructions will be provided via email.

I already have a KICApp subscription - what happens if I buy a KICStudio membership?

When you purchase a KIC Studio membership, you will receive a new KICApp subscription which is included with your membership. Your existing KICApp data will flow into this new account if you set up your Mindbody account using the same email as your existing KICApp email.This means:Your new app access is tied to your Studio membership

  • It remains active for as long as your Studio membership is active

You will need to manage or cancel your existing KIC App subscription separately to avoid being charged twice. This instruction is only valid if your KICStudio and existing KICApp billing periods overlap.

How do I redeem the 1-week free KICStudio offer as an existing KICApp user?

If you're an existing KICApp subscriber, you can unlock a 1-week free KIC Studio trial directly in the app. To redeem: Go to Profile:

  1. Tap KICStudio
  2. Follow the prompts

You’ll receive a redemption email with instructions to activate your trial.

Is the one week free offer only valid for existing KICApp subscribers?

Yes, this is an exclusive offer to reward those who've been an existing member. To access the 1-week free KICStudio Membership offer, you’ll need to follow the in-app prompts and sign up for a KICStudio membership via the redemption flow. To find this flow find the KICStudio section within your app profile page.

Will I be charged twice if I already have the KICApp?

Potentially, yes - if you don’t manage your existing subscription. Because your Studio membership includes a new KICApp entitlement, we recommend:

  • Reviewing your current subscription
  • Cancelling it if needed to avoid duplicate charges
What happens if I eventually cancel my KICStudio membership?

If you cancel your KIC Studio membership:

  • Your complimentary KIC App access will end at the same time

If you’d like to continue using the app:You’ll need to resubscribe via the App Store

  • Please note that app pricing may vary throughout the year
Will I lose my progress if I cancel my KICStudio Membership, and my complimentary KICApp subscription, and resubscribe later via the app stores?

No - if you resubscribe using the same email address, your:

  • Progress
  • History
  • Account data

Will all still be available. 

KICStudio Policies

Late arrival policy

To support a safe and intentional class experience, entry for late arrivals is at the trainer’s discretion. If a significant portion of the warm-up has been missed or joining late may impact safety or the flow of the class, the trainer may not be able to accommodate entry on that occasion.

Trainer turn away policy

Trainers have a duty of care to prioritise member safety at all times. KICStudio trainers reserve the right to decline or remove a member from participation in any class where, in their professional judgement, attendance may pose a risk to the member’s health or safety, or to others in the studio.

Age limit policy

Children 14 years and over are welcome to participate in our classes with parent or guardian consent. Unfortunately children of any age are not permitted to wait at the studio whilst a parent or guardian participates in a class.

Pregnancy policy

Pregnant members are not permitted to attend heated classes. Prior to participation, written medical clearance from their treating health practitioner (GP, obstetrician or midwife) must be received via email to the studio, and the member must have signed the initial KICStudio waiver confirming they are medically fit to exercise. Pregnant members are required to notify the trainer before every class they attend, regardless of prior disclosure, to allow for appropriate modifications and monitoring. Trainers reserve the right to modify exercises or decline participation in any class where they consider it unsafe or not in the member’s best interest.

Pet policy

To maintain hygiene and safety standards and ensure the comfort and safety of all members, pets are not permitted inside KICStudio premises, including reception, community areas, or studio spaces. Animals must not be brought into the studio or left waiting in reception areas at any time. This policy does not apply to registered assistance animals as recognised under applicable law.

Children/Childcare policy

Children of any age are not permitted to wait at the studio whilst a parent or guardian participates in a class.

Heated class policy

Heated classes are not suitable for members who are pregnant and participation is not permitted during pregnancy. Heated environments may place additional stress on the body and are not recommended for individuals with medical conditions that may be triggered, induced or exacerbated by heat exposure. Members are responsible for seeking medical advice prior to attending heated classes if they have any underlying health concerns.
